The Real Kevin

This was a painting I offered a customer as a gift based on a story of her kitten that broke my heart.

Kevin, was one of my Tiktok follower's husband's cat. Found abandoned in the snow at around 2 weeks old back in December of 2022.  Unfortunately, Kevin passed at a very young age.  While she was messaging me to ask about purchasing a print of my "Kevin" painting, her story hit me hard and I offered to paint this for her husband as a Christmas gift. We spoke back and forth for a while, and the only stipulations were that she had to tell me her husbands reaction when he opened it on Christmas, and also that I was allowed to sell prints in my shop of her original painting. So here he is, the real Kevin.
 
As this was an 11x14, to avoid distorting the murder kitten's proportions, the prints were adjusted in photoshop on the sides to make the square images. Doing this requires me to digitally extend the image and fill the edges. This was the original kitten painting is not distorted when altering the dimensions of the original painting.

PRINT TYPES
-My acrylic paintings are done on heavyweight metallic gloss stock, which gives an amazing sheen when viewed from an angle, but not overly reflective.  The last two images shown here are of my 6x6 prints.
-I can offer a matte/ flat version on paper canvas if you prefer that look.  This is a cold pressed paper given a heavy texture to mimic the look of a canvas. You can see and feel the difference to the touch.  Please message me if you are interested in these. There is no difference in price.

-The canvas prints are stretched around 1.25" thick wooden frames. They come with sawtooth mounting hardware pre-installed. I digitally extend wrapped edges of the prints so none of the kitten or main painting will be wrapped around the sides.
